Just wondering about longevity of pecking orders, particularly in regards to smaller but mature cichlids and adding juvenile cichlids that will become the largest fish in the tank and the typical specimen is more aggressive. For example I have a pair of geo iporangensis that can be pretty nasty but at 6-7" they are no match for a mature gold saum, what are the chances that if I added the saum, or any other cichlid a notch or two more aggressive, at a small size that it will stay in its place in the pecking order when it's old enough to take over?
