lol kind of funny!

today while moving my tank to a different spot (better view of fish) so i could watch them swim and they are now right beside my bed. but yea when i was taking the water out i was sitting there looking at the fish in the bowl and i kept thinking that one was missing so i just tryed to remember all of them and i couldnt think of it. when i took my ac 50 off of the tank i luckily looked into it and there was my male feeder guppy nemo (has one messed up fin) and he is my favorite fish. i think if i didnt want to move my tank and i just waited until the next water change which is in 9 days then he would have died in the filter. so yea i thought it was kind of funny that he was in there but was lucky because hes my favorite fish too (community fish anyways i dont have a monster tank yet)

lol Ive heard of fish getting into filters, but its never happened to me! (most of them are bigger than the filters lol)

my fish fry always get into the filter in my pond then i have to go and dig them out but therye always alive

Yeah mine could never get into the filters because of the intake strainers. I have thought about putting some small snails inside my filter boxes though.

You could find some foam/sponge to put around the intake so it doesn't happen again. Just a thought.

And you refered to him as your feeder guppy, yet he's your favorite? Is he realler a feeder guppy then?

I tried sponges before and it made a mess.What kind of foam are you talking about?

I just had a better idea that I just remembered. Pantyhose! Just slide some pantyhose over the intake and secure it with a rubberband.

yea i got a bunch of feeder guppies from school and only 3 survived to live in the big tank (20 gallon lol) and then one died. but all i have in the tank are cory cats, fancy guppies, zebra danios, and one moon. but he is the one with the most personality he is the one that swims the most and he is the leader of the guppies. lol he is always the first to move out of the school of guppies but he is the smallest in the tank.

Perhaps Nemo was in the filter trying to jam it up with a rock?

That way you would need to put them all in bags to clean the tank, then they could all roll out the window & into the ocean.

lol yea, its a typical name but i named him that because his one fin was messed up and he swam funny for a while but now its better and hes my favorite fish. good thing i didnt feed him to the jack dempseys my friend has lol.
