That is a typical case of when an owner of jardini lets the water turn to crap !
Bacterial infection sets in and turns into infection of the blood and scepticemia.
Previously an unknown disease, but last week I saw another case which this time the owner gave it to me, so I brought into the surgery. My colleague confirmed septicemia.
Unofficial name is lionhead septisemia. Jardinis seem more prone to this when water conditions become poor. Can be treated if givern a course of antibiotics quick, but the cystic growths never fully go away, and if the fish survives it looks undesirable.
