lone red belly??

i know these fish shoal but can you keep a lone red belly, my lfs has the most geogeous 10in. fish , hes always been alone
 
been doing a little investigating, sounds like a lone p isnt a good idea, sucks, its a beauty!!
 
you can keep them singely
 
of course you can keep a pygo all by its lonesome self!!!
 
They actually do better alone
 
why dont u get a piranha in the serra fam,reds are more active in a group of 3 or more!
 
Any P can be kept alone...The Pygo group is a shoaling species and would feel more comfortable in a tank with at least 3 ... however i have read that a solo Pygo would be just fine. You should consider something in the Serra family because they are true solo riders
