We have a 2500 gallon pond at my grandmas house. I had bought to throw aways that were at the LFS. Giant black pacu, about 18 inches, and a big old oscar, hes about 14 inches. They were best friends in the pond outside. Would swim everywhere together. I got a call from the grandma the other day, turns out the Pacu musta had a swim bladder problem because he was swimming on his side, and upside down. I told her feed peas but the next day she said he was dead. Now the Oscars trying to make friends with the Gar I have in there but I dont think he cares much lol. Anyone suggest a good buddy or buddies to get ahold of? I know its hard to find big fish like that just laying around. I was thinking a couple big Pacus, or a Gigas, Arowana, what do you think?

THANKS!:D

Put a wanted ad on Craigslist. People needing to get rid of pacu bc they got too big for a tank never seems to be in short supply.

I feel bad for the oscar becuase it will be hard to find another fish that will get along as did the oscar and the pacu. I would just buy another big oscar or pacu and try to get them acclimated to each other. I wouldnt buy 2 fish at the same time in case they teamed up on each other.
