i went to petsmart just looking around and saw something i didn't expect sun catfish so i grabed one i didn't have enough money to get more or i would of but now my question is do i need more sun catfish or will he be fine on his own. first when i let him in to the tank it swam around then hid for a while and came back out when i was going to feed them i put in brine shrimp and it tried to eat them but spit them out later i tried blood worms but he didn't care so now it won't eat anything

They do like to school I have two and they swim together all the time... They mainly have eating the left overs of floating and sinking pellets that my other fish don't finish off....
ok well he stuffed him self on beefheart and chewed on some krill how big do thay get i can't get a good answer petsmart said 6'' but i know thats crap i've heard 18'' is the largest seen but whats the biggest anyone has in an aquarium
thanks now its small and in a 20 how fast do thay grow i want to put him in my 55 but he'll get eaten

yea they top out around a foot give or take a couple inches... and they're pretty slow growers....
