I am currently trying to decide between building a new tank in either plywood or glass. The dimensions will be 120x24x16 (lxdxh). I have built a couple of glass tanks before, but never one made out of plywood.
So would be great if I could get a couple of plywood-tank questions answered:
Glass thickness; is 2/5" (10mm) enough for the front or should I go 1/2" (12mm)? Or more? (I will only have glass in the front)
Single sheet of glass in the front or would it be preferable to use two separete sheets for two "front windows" due to the lenght of the tank?
Is 3/5" (15mm) high quality plywood in two layers enough, or do I need to go thicker? Or use 2x4 or similar bracing?
I will be grateful for any advice!
