G'day

Picked up a Gibbicep/Sail-fin pleco a little while back. I grabbed this guy because it appears that it is a 'long don't variety of the sail fin pleco.

All of the fins including the dorsal appear about 25-50% longer than a normal sail fin. Even the nostril flaps are enlarged when compared to my other sail fins.

I've attached some pics below from my tank and the previous owner. Pics are about 4 months old. Growing quick, currently about 8-9"

Wow!
P. gibbiceps have always been my favorite plecostomus, but I have never seen one like that. That is a beautiful fish!

I hope some fish breeders are working on those because that is a must-have for me if they are commercially available.

Here is a pic of an especially hi-finned one from the Planet Catfish site, but yours is prettier.
