Are there any ways to identify a long finned bichir when they are real small, say 2-4 inches? Do they ever wind up in with the standards at pet stores? My goal is to find one locally, but its slim pickins around here.

I've seen some at my store come in whos fins look a little longish (mabye a few longfins crawled into the wrong pond at the breeders a few generations back 
), but none that are certifiable LF.
