I go into the lfs to buy that 12" knifefish today, and in the tank next to it is a stunning oscar. the tag said long-finned florida breed oscar $40. Aside from the fins, its pattern is great! it is just under 4 inches. the pectorial fins arean inch and a half long, it has a high fin usually raised, giant anal and tail fins! luckily, despite the superb form, no one will buy it (I hope) people who like oscars, they will save thereselves $30 by buying a good looking common oscar. it is perfect! it will take me a while to save up for, I will not have to set up a separate tank for it, and it will look great.

i would beg someone for money and get it.....

or get a job...at the petstore if your old enough

can't until summer, when its my birthday. too young. as a surprise I am very young, but will rveal my age when I have more credability as an aquarist, or you can look up my birthdate and spoil the fun :(

can I get some pics of other lf oscars, this will be my first oscar

Beg your parents for the money.

sorry guys, decided aginst it. it was drifting to the side as it swam. it could just be that it came from florida to nebraska and needs a liitle time. If its there long enogh, the owner will give me a special deal and I'll take it. What caught my eye was a school of glass knives for only $5!. I think I might set up my 45 long as a planted tank and get 5-6 of those a few peakock gudgeuns ($5), and large school of yoyo loach ($2)!
