Hello friends!

What is the most aged FH here in group? I meant to say who managed from a 1" fry to big monster? and how long it took to reach there??

Mine was 3" to 6-7" inches but he died in a year!!

other was more than a year but reached to 5" only!!

Post pictures if you wish.. thanks all!!

Had one for two years but I bought him as a monster 10 inches he was around 14 inches when he died. He didn't die of natural causes I had a power outage and yeah...

My first flowerhorn I actually got him randomly. Bought a red devil from a guy and he had this as well. He told me give me 20 for him I agreed. No idea what I had but he was a king Kamfa. I do have pictures but I don't like looking at them. Lost couple feet arowanas, red devil, huge two red tail cat fish and others... 500 gallon tank. I'll have to dig up the pictures.

This thread makes me sad but I feel I have to pay tribute to my FH.

I got Pumpkin from Thailand at 4 inches and when he passed away, he was 12 inches. He was only 2 years old.

He had gill disease that I was never able to cure. I tried everything to save his life...even had a vet from Ripley's Aquarium coming to see him but sadly, he never made it.

I was devastated and I don't think I'll be keeping FH anymore. They have so much personality and it's heartbreaking when they die, knowing you did everything you could but couldn't save them.

This was my Pumpkin. He went from this...

Hi souzie souzie

Thanks you so much for sharing his wonderful photographs!

And We are very sorry for your loss here! Definitely a Huge Pain seeing him go!!! Sad!!

I know you are missing him now, and I get your feelings as my first flowerhorn died, and I was about to cry!!!

We care for him, we raise him from baby to the adult personality and one sad day comes when there is a sad ending, its the painful story for all FH lovers....! RIP Pumpkin!!!

By the way, He transformed beautifully, He was indeed a great fella, everything was cool in Pumpkin!!

How he picked up the Red and head, It shows your great care and love!

Anyway, Thanks again for sharing Pumpkin's photographs! Have a nice day and take care

And If you want to add anything about the care you given to him, raising from Juvie to The Master piece! IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED BY OUR COMMUNITY!!!

Also, very few persons see the vet when FH is sick, It shows your passionate love and affection to Pumpkin!!!

Hi Ihsnshaik Ihsnshaik

Beautiful fella you got there! I know his transformation also by looking your pictures from old threads!!

Thanks! All these fish are RIP. You can barely see my arowana his tail moving around. My red tails and my huge 24 inch pacus. The red devil and flowerhorn were always best friends. You can see how large my flowerhorn was. He is not the prettiest out there but it was my first one and loved him. Of all the fish I ever had flowerhorn indeed have a unique personality. I have a large 10 inch King kamfa I posted about already and I pet him and play with him all the time. My wife thinks I'm nuts lol
