i just noticed while i was feeding, the pleco who was sitting on the side of the bell i have had a long strand of poo which was fairly long and it kinda had intervals of normal brown poo and the there were clearish white bits to, i was just wondering if this is a problem, i think i noted it in one of my gouramies a while ago befor i lost them.

is it a problem?
what should i do?

I have to bump this thread because i have the same problem with my plecos. I have dewormed and still the strings are extremely long, any where from 6"-12" approximately. I wonder if this is just normal?

Common plecos when large can crank out 6' strands easily. I've had over 12' of poo still attached to a large pleco.

very normal, my previous common plecs at only 3-4" had poo that was twice as long as them trailing from them. i think they particularly enjoy doing this if you have just cleaned up poo from the top of sand. or at least it seemed they waited.
