does anyone have a clear picture of this species as one came in as a bycatch from ecuador and has started developing different colours to the one in baensch aquarium atlas vol 3 page 416-417. Once it got in my tank it follows my spotted pim around to its annoyance but no aggression just less food for the pim but he needs a diet!!!

Today i noticed his dorsal has become very black in colour he is eating well so its not a disease. Would give you a pic but hes very shy and loves to hide under my 2ft log.

Any pics appreciated and advice also have never seen this species before

sorry i forgot that have it as imparfinis longicauda/longicaudus.

noone?

sounds cool, but have no idea what it can be

how big is it and can you describe its color a little these cats can be hard to tell the species and there isn't much info on them

Its 4-5inches looks exactly like the one in the book as i have already said but its lateral stripe is blue and it dorsal is jet black

nothing matches except the picture in the book i have already said but since he has become so acclimated his colours dont match it.

Is it this one? Called a Tigrinus.
