Hey All,

Been looking around some and must say there is some pretty awesome stuff. Ive been into Aquaria for more then 35 years. Ive done most Fresh/Africans/salt/reef/live plant... etc etc etc... BUT have never done things on the larger scale above 125 gallons. So I took the plunge and recently picked up a few bigger tanks. Currently My wife and I already have (and yes.... she has the addiction just like me.. lol) tanks from 10, 20, 29, 46 and 90 gallons. Most of them community and some breed specific Like rams. Lots of live planted tanks. Anyhow Recently I went out and snagged 2 x 125 gallon tanks, and 1 x 300 gallon. Working on filtration and all sorts of stuff now. Ive got ideas on some of them.

Currently the projects for one of the 125's is my wifes. She wants her Bala sharks to get big, with her Loaches and some other fish she enjoys.

One of the 125's Id like to start off for some Ray's. Need to get educated on them and what to do. BUT they look very enjoyable and fun.

The 300 is going to be Central and South americans. Ive never kept any only Afircans. But Ive got a working list of what id like to get.

I have a few questions if anyone out there wouldnt mind.

Im looking at some of the smaller sized rays. I assume a 125 is ok to start? Can rays be housed with the Centrals and souths? Or are the Centrals and souths to aggressive?
Who are good outlets for Ray's that ship them?

As far as the 300. How many fish would you recommend? It will be horribly over filtered. I also do weekly water changes.

Here is a start to my list of fish I like. May be some more added or changes.

Red texas Cichlid
Green terror
Pike Cichlid
Managuense
Flowerhorn Kamfa
Red terror
Electric blue Jack

Not sure of what else yet....

Any suggestions, tips or thoughts are welcomed.

Also Where are the best places to get most all these fish as the LFS around here never carry any of them.

Thanks!!!

Most wellcome. You already are a Mfker without being aware of it :)

As to Rays my suggestion is you put your questions there. There a re a lot of guys who really know their stuff there. They rarely venture out of there forums, rays and filtration stuff. You need to go to them :)

As to CA Comm there is also a lot of stuff about the things you ask.

My opinion, strike the Ebjd away. No chance on earth it copes.

The others might work, given space, and 125 is short, imho. BUT ONLY MALES.

Thanks Miguel,

Sounds like a plan on the rays. I will hit that section up. Already a MFKer without knowing? Cool.. Lol
I kinda figured the EBJD was going to be the weak link. Just like those colors.
I was planning on keeping them in the 300 gallon. I agree the 125 is short. Also was going to add them all as young small fish so maybe growing together might help.
Planned on males only.

Thanks for the welcome and the help.
