or something like that.

My name is Adam. I live in St. Louis Missouri.

I love fish. Honestly I love everything about water in general but have kept my tanks in freshwater at the moment. Although I know a guy who breeds sea horses and every time I see them it makes me want to get into saltwater.

I have 9 tanks right now. 8 of them are running...I just got a 200 gallon that I have not set up yet. Waiting to have my floor looked at by a professional to reinforce it first. I currently have the following...

3 Gallon (on my desk at work) - 3 White Cloud Mountain Minnows, snail, ghost shrimp
5 gallon (in my son's room) - Betta, snail, ghost shrimp
10 gallon (office) - Feeder Guppies, shrimp, snails and some bumblebee gobys at the moment
37 gallon (square tank - in bedroom) - 3 German Blue Rams and 1 Electric Blue Ram, ghost shrimp, rubberlip pleco
40 gallon breeder - 1 - 7 in Fahaka Puffer (It will be moved into the 75 gallon soon then eventually moved into a 180 when I get it) and 10 white cloud mountain minnows that the puffer gets along with (so far anyway)
55 gallon (Tv room) - 6 - 4 inch Geophagus Altifrons, 1 - 7 inch Black Ghost Knife, 1 turquoise crayfish, 4 hillstream loaches, 1 longfin albino/ yellow bristlenose
55 gallon (living room) - 1 - 6 inch reticulated stingray, 1 8 inch senegalus bichir, 1 - 6 inch albino senegalus bichir, 2 - 5 inch Ctenopoma, 1 - 6 inch Bala Shark, 3 Golden Wonder Killies
75 gallon - 5 Random Angelfish, 20 puntius denisonii (Roseline Barb/shark or whatever), 1 clown loach, 2 bristlenose plecos, 5 powder blue dwarf gouramis, 1 violet goby
45 gallon tub - on the deck - low water level with an air pump holding crawfish for my puffer

I know I am overstocked but all of that will be moved or removed in the very near future. I am moving the stingray, bichirs, ctenopomas, geophagus, Bala shark and killis into the 200 gallon, the rest will be redistributed except for a few I will be getting rid of...the gobies are going to a friend with a brackish tank and depending on how the stocking looks Ill be getting rid of more.

Because of my stocking issue at the moment I have canister filters and HOB filters (on the 75, 55, 55) and 2 HOB filters (on each of the 10, 37,40). I do weekly water changes for all of my tanks (except for the puffer tank I do twice a week).

Anyway thats about it for now. Im trying to figure out how I am going to set up my 200 gallon so any tips or ideas are welcome. Honestly I love building the environments for my fish and watching them enjoy it.

Here are some videos of some of my tanks. http://www.youtube.com/user/freshwateradam

Thanks.

Thanks! Yeah I cant wait to get them into something so they can grow!

Where do you get your fish around here? Always looking for new places to check out.

When I had freshwater tanks I would either go to Tropical World Pets on Watson or Aqua-World on Manchester or the one on Gravois and for saltwater I either hit up Gateway Aquatics on Telegraph or Seascape Studio on Lindbergh

Yeah I go to those places for freshwater. There is a chain store out in lake saint louis called Petland (I know chain stores are the devil) but the aquatic manager there is pretty cool (he is the one who breeds seahorses) and they get some interesting stuff every once in a while. I got my stingray there. Their ghost shrimp are super cheap too compared to anywhere else around here. I sell fish to them there too.
