well sense i can only use the internet at work up until recently, i have been trying not to become a member because i will slack majorly. haha. now i have internet at home, so BRING ON THE SLACKING!

im not real new to aquarium,s i have a black ghost knife tank now (55g) with a very effecient 10g sump, HOB filters and the works. nothing to impressive but works perfectly! im looking to upgrade...

i want to do a ray/puffer tank or a ray and puffer tank. i know if i have to do them seperate, i will build them from plywood. but... i was wondering if it was possible to do the following for a ray tank:

get a 125 or 150 gallon glass aquarium, turn it on its sidetake the top piece (formerly the back piece) of glass, and have it cut to match the size of the bottom, and seal it the the former top of the tank making a 125 or 150 gallon, large foot print, semi shallow tank? what could i use to trim the top to give it some strength some 1 inch angle aluminum? reason for this is because i can get a tank like that used for a hundred bucks or so, maybe a little more on the local forums/criagslist.

what do you guys think? who makes a couple hundred gallon square shallow tank i could just buy? anyone? i have yet to see one.
