well i am going home for Christmas break and i have a 20 gallon with two South American puffers....i will be gone 3 weeks and so will all of my roommates....i can't bring home the fish because i will have no tanks at my house to put them in...what should i do?

thanks in advance for any assistance

yeh im also going away for three weeks, im taking the risk and just chuckin a auto feeder on the tank and do a good clean before i leave

pay a homeless man to feed them.

you can ask your lfs to look after them for a while, although you will have to pay a little.

or

chuck in a sh*t load of snails.

option 1 seams more reasonable (to me anyways)

If you use an autofeeder try to get a rotary one, they have fewr problems, the snail idea may also work.

Don't get the cheap auto feeders that sell for $15. Mine broke before I set it up, and I came home after vacation to find cannibal guppy fry that killed the weak one and were chewing him up! I don't know about puffers, though. Try dropping them off at a lfs for the christmas. You can also just bring home the puffers in a bag, and bring home the aquarium without water in it home, then fill it back up and put the pufferfish in. Depends on where you live. If it's only a 1 day drive, then you can do that.

if you drop them off at a lfs make sure you see them put a sign on the tank "These fish are NOT for sale!" cuz at one of my lfs, I have bought fish that I think may have been someones eekk!!
