this is not even in works yet but chit-chat and speculation, could i fit a african knife-BGK-orniate bichir and oscar for life in a 125, or at least drop the oscar.. This is also if fish get along, but space wise is it wise? fx5 and two AC110s will be filtration. big drift wood and pvc as decor.. any ideals or no-nos

not sure depending on dimentions if the tank is adleasy 3 foot in width or more you should be good. nothing less... the length adleas 5 foot for these fish. Knife grows 2 foot, oscars can get 3 foot and bichir you will have no problem keeping. They all can live together too.

Most knifefish do not go well together so your 2 knives will on trial and error basis.

No way! A 125 is way too small for a full grown knife. A standard 125 is 6 feet long and 1 foot wide. That knife wouldn't be able to turn! That tank would be too small for a full grown oscar as well. They can get over a foot long. I have a 2 foot knife with other fish in a 210 and need to size up soon as he is 2 feet long and 10 inches tall. I'd say the 210 would be the minimum tank size for the combination of fish you want.

a standard 125 is 18" wide not a foot. if you want more than one knife get a group of brown knifes. bgk and abk probably won't play well together. ornate will out grow a 125. oscar and which ever knife you do pick should get along fine.

alright, my clown did fine in my 500 but that was back in the day, I was told that all knives "played" well together except the clown.. alright. thanks for advice. I will more than likely do a BGK and an oscar. is there a smaller bichir i could get away with or anther fish? 125, to small for oscar, my full grown one live most of his life fine in a 75. I had 3 in a 125 for a bit till i upgrade to a 500. thanks for advice, best site on net :)
