How long is the longest you've had a fish that would not eat? My 13" id shark just started eating floating pellets after he fasted for just over 4 month's. I've had my silver aro's hold out on me for 3 weeks when I moved them around. I was worried then till I got this id shark. The funny thing is he never really lost any weight, or looked emaciated at all. Always looked 100% healthy and always swims just fine. Just showed no interest in food till this week.

I bought my first clown knife at the 2.5 inch sice---

I had no clue they were live feeders at first-

I starved his for 2 months at this size-Damn near died until I decided to toss in some guppies...He went nutz----Have not been able to get him off the live feedings since...

Have you tried beef heart? That will usually lure them off of live food. That's what mine eats and at the LFS he was eating nothing but guppies. They're extremely hard to get on pellets or anything like that, I'd think you could actually starve them to death, especially at that size, since they're pretty stubborn.

i had a betta that dident eat a thing for 6 months atleast. i would drop 4 or 5 betta pellets or blood worms in there, and they would still all be there at the end of the night. even tried flakes and a few other foods.

poor little guy finally kicked the bucket

I dont have any long term experiance with a fishes self starvation, but my newest loach didnt eat for 4 days from the moment I got him. He was 1.5".

moray went over 3 months without food.

Twice.

I had a Peacock Spiney Eel that I never witnessed eat for over 5 months.
