I am not terribly familiar with flowerhorn patterns and such, I've seen folks critique markings and color intensity in regards to 'high grade' or 'low grade'. Where would she fall on that spectrum? Should I wait until she colors up a bit more before getting a final verdict?
She and my grown blue gourami male were picking on each other pretty badly, so I removed him. She hides a lot more now, though. :/ What would be some good dithers to go in the tank with her that won't be too fin nippy? She is about 2.5 inches without the tail.
Quality is usually judged based on color, pearling, and kok for the most part. She would fall into low grade BUT since she is a Kirin it doesn't matter what grade she is because she is a Kirin.
Okay, it wasn't just me. I couldn't for the life of me figure it out with how deep that notch was. I am kinda glad it's a flowerhorn, I always worry about the jaws of parrots...
