They get 4" max size. Considered as the hardiest species in the family. Live Aquaria say 50g minimum tank size. Can I keep 1 in my 34g red sea reef tank?

Live aquaria is pretty spot on with their tank sizes. Butterflies need space to roam and pick on the rock. I wouldnt put one in any less than a 50gal.

IME liveaquaria isn't really ever spot on... lol but it's more of a suggestion...
not exactly sure what your setup is like...however a 34 gallon is too small for any butterfly imo. especially because these are deep reef fish, not just a warm water fish like most of the ones we own. I wouldn't put the ones you mentioned in anything smaller than a 90 ... but that's just me..
