basically they can be treated like any other gar
Water temp: 40°f to 80°f
Ph: within normal bounds
Salinity: fresh, they can live in brackish but can't breed in brackish
Tank size: I'd say a 10x5 foot tank or pond is minimum for a full sized adult
They are very hardy water condition wise

The longnose gar are a tad bit more fragile then the others gars especially when young, they suffer from broken backs and jaws on occasion other then that just feed them and keep up on water changes And tank maintenance

Okay cool thanks. Ive kept True Alligator gar before and FLGs. Wasn't sure if LongNose needed any other special treatment.

Same as Florida but the minimum temp is lower for the long nose. Can live under ice in winter

longnose are a more versatile species in regards to temp. We have them in PA, as stated above they can live under ice here.
