They looks better. But the fin colors darkening are most likely the fish reaching adulthood, and not water quality or care-just my 2 cents tho

Yes..mine went from pure orange to looking just like yours with maybe a liitle black on the fins to pure red and white,then i sold him to a friend (total regret!) now hes pushing a foot and looks like a killer.
