their flowerhorn collectors so who knows why there bidding so much. i think i saw a breeding pair of simalar ones sell for around 20k, it's a rarity factor along with different desired fh traits that makes the price.

Without being engulfed bigtime FH's I don't think any of us would get it. Might not be a rhyme/reason other than someone likes that fish. But if they can sell a fish for 10k more power to them!

i don't know for sure, but it's possible that the fish is a show winner.

top quality flowerhorns are uncommon... maybe one out of a few thousand is rated as "high quality"... and of course, the belief that these fish bring good luck.

for the most of us though, it's hard to justify the price tag.

I keep them, and even I dont see why that one is worth that much. maybe the seller doesnt want to sell any more, and bid that last bid under another name. who knows

The fish is probably worth a fair bit due to the intense patterns along the whole body and such lovely fins shapes in general. The kok isnt that large but its a nice proportion with the rest of the fish. All these qualities make for a nice fish but isnt worth much more then 400 IMO.

i admit that the fish is a good looking one with a unique face.but for that amount of money...i dont know.
