I finally found my dream fish! Serrasalmus Elongatus or Elongated Black Mask Piranha. Didn't even have to ship him (which I really wanted to avoid doing). Drove 10 hours total and had to part with my red belly tank, but it was definitely worth it! He's about 12 inches, check him out let me know what you think.

Hi Im sorry to correct you but you picked up a serrasalmus rhombeus, or a black rhom. A serrasalmus elongatus looks like the one pictured below, just google it. But great pick up indeed!!

Cool new pickup. Totaly worth ditching the red bellys for in my opinion. How much did he cost you if you don't mind me asking.

I didnt think he looked like the rhombs I've seen most of them look way to short and stubby with more of a diamond body shape. But I'm no expert either. Thanks though, still very happy with him.

Nothing, the guy who had him just wanted him to go to a great home. He saw how far I was willing to go to get him and ended up just giving him to me.
 
That's awesome! I'm sure you'll take good care of him. Any possabilty of a feeding video?
