Pike cichlids are rare and expensive in the UK, i have a chance to get some imported;


anthurus
reticulata
sveni


There does not seem to be a massive amount stuff on the internet about them. Hoped that someone could give me a heads up on size, aggression and how easy they are to breed.


The tank will be 4ft 55 gallon, fresh start with this aquarium so the idea was to plant it.

I believe the reticulata will be pretty similar to belly crawlers. Hang out at the bottom, get 8-10" and keep to themselves for the most part. Sveni will get about 10-12" and all the ones I have had were pretty laid back. Don't have experience with anthurus but I believe they are pretty similar to sveni but maybe a little thicker bodied.

Why is it so hard to find info on Crenicichla?

What tank size am i looking at for Atabapo Lugubris?

Some will say 75 minimum but I would say a 6ft tank at least.
