Look like a Vieja breidohri to u?

I'm no help on your issue but I just couldn't help telling you how incredibly, ridiculously, outrageously good looking that fish is. 
Where did you get that fish? I know Mike from Mike's killer fish had some. I can't say 100% that its a Breidohri but it sure looks like mine when he was young. Mine always had a really deep blue color even when he was young but yours has the same shape as mine did. I would say its a Breidohri. Hold on to that fish. You and I are probably the only ones that have this fish around colorado. Not too many have it i know that much.
Here's a picture of my Breidohri male a while back. Mine is more pink and purple than the standard silver/blue that you see most of the time. He's around 9" now. Awesome fish. Very active and tough.

Driftwood, These are John's fish, we got the female at Mike's, but the male we got it from, can you believe it, Sherman. It was labeled Vieja sp., that's why I was thinking it could be a breihdori. They are definitely pairing up tho, laid eggs before, too but got eaten.
