I swear I can't remember when was the last time I had a pleco in my tank, now I have three! It was buy 2 get 1 free, so I couldn't pass it up.

they were hand picked by me, literally.:D

Congrats...yes, it is always a misconception by hobbyist that plecos are the ones that will help to clear up waste in tanks...actually..they contribute more waste than anything else!!!

:swear:

I do not think my Pleco even stops ****ting, whenever I look at him he always got some **** hanging. When the Pleco was under 5" he was doing records with a foot+ **** hanging.

I guess all they do is just suck and poo....suck and poo.... :hitting:

LOL yeah they dont eat poop at all. But they are the undisputed champs in taking out white and green algae.

Yes..basically that should be the purpose of having them in the tank...

here is sgp..alot of lazy aquarium hobbyist keep plecos cuz they think that they will take on the poo and they do not need to perform water change anymore!!!

My real purpose of getting them is to "prepare" my tank for the white jardini and "spotted" rtc that'll be coming this following Saturday. The pooping will mean the biological waste will be high, which promotes the growth of beneficial bacterias, which means when I introduce the new fishes, there won't be any sudden spike on ammonia or nitrite. Most mature aquariums don't have that problem, but I recently removed all of the sand substrate in my tank, which I depleted a good amount of bacteria in my tank, making the water chemistry unstable for several days.
