Been busy. Haven't been on in a while. Just bought a house. Look what was in it.uploadfromtaptalk1409929753578.jpg in wall 75 gallon tank. Pleasant surprise since it wasn't in any of the pictures. It has a really skittish 4.5" conviction and uploadfromtaptalk1409929857407.jpg I have no idea what it is.

That looks like a black shark, or labeo I think is its correct nomenclature...I'll maybe check after. If it is, they get huge and aggressive lol

x2 that on the Black Shark...can get up to 2 feet and best left alone in that tank(until he outgrows it).

Ok. Thanks guys. I'm going to rehome both. Then something else will go in. Not sure what. Next project is the biggest tank I can fit through the basement door.

Labeo chrysophekadion. If I recall, in the wild, they can get a fair bit bigger than 2 feet. The one we had in my dads goldfish tank was a notorious fish chaser. When he wasn't chasing things, he was hiding. He also appeared to really love eating slime coats.

Had one it was 18 inches, hes was in a cichlid tank with fully grown texas, jack demsey, jaguar fish and others and I had to get ride of him becuz he was to bossy and was a big fin nipper.

I was amazed when I bought a 3 inch labeo and it beat up my male convict, BGK, and jack Dempsey.

I'm not even talking slight dominance, it well and truly kicked their butts

Very cool fish if you have the room. Pretty nasty the older they get surprising they can be kept with really small fish as adults since they don't see them as a threat, they have small mouths but kick some major azz. Mine outgrew my 5 foot tank a shame too because I really liked the black shark.

Nice feature to the new home, which room is it in?

In the basement. As you come downstairs. It's really a good use of otherwise wasted space. I probably could put a 125 there with some minor adjustments.
