That's right.....it's my new Jardini. He was supposed to go into a 55gal and then into what ever beast of a tank I'm gonna buy when I can MOVE OUT OF THIS STUPID APARTMENT!! Anyway, it was smaller than I was told...and when I got him home into my 55 the inhabitants started to look at him like lunch....So here he is in my 29 gallon with a bunch of tetras, clown loaches, cory cats, and an angelfish. We will see how long it lasts!!! He is cool though, I can't stop watching him swim around...I'm FASCINATED!:nilly: He's quick and hard to get pictures of, but just for some size reference he is that blur in the top left of the second shot.

Aros are the greatest in planted tanks, along with pike cichlids, and prochilodus. OK discus are cool for chicks and dudes who want to be chicks.

Awesome pick up, how do you do waterchange for such a tank? Wouldn't it be a pain in the ass? Do you ever take those decos out?

It's kinda a pain, but it's worth it. I just gravel-vac around most of it. The only thins i don't like is the loose moss clogging my intakes.

When I get home from work I look in the tank to see if he's got a full belly, and if he does....It's time to play guess which fish is missing!!! My danios are thinning out:)

I had plans to put my aro in the wifey's 55 until it got big enough to go in our 210. The 4" cichlids wanted nothing to do with it, so he's currently in our 29 that we were using for a QT. He seems happy to have the tank all to himself.

Looks quite happy for now....

Make sure your wifey knows about your plans before you do this ... or her beloved little neons (named Jerry, Charlie and Fiona) will disappear and she'll be your ex-wifey... :D

Jokes! You're lucky your SO enjoys your hobby too ... I on the other hand am not so fortunate..

Ha, if it were only that easy! JKJKJKJKJKJK.

She's got a few yellow labs, and some firecrackers in there with a few assorted cichlids. <---"But they look cute!!"

They left the silver alone, mostly because I had just fed them, I believe. But within 30 minutes, the cichlids were declaring their tank. Had to take out the aro.
