So, I just got back from the MFK SoCal meet. Not only did I get a wonderful sunburn lol, some awesome pics, and meet cool people, but I was also lucky enough to come home with two cute little bichirs (my friend didn't want hers at all; he was too scary). Thank you MFK for a great meet!

They get along well... at least for now. Glen's the big one, and Snowdrop is the other.

Anyway, because I was not counting on bringing anything home, I wasn't really prepared for them. They're going to be in a small tank for only a few days. I'm doing my research now, but I just wanted to hear any advise you guys may have.

They had a long trip home, but they're active and happy. They didn't want to eat the blood worms I offered just yet but I figure that's normal. Their tank is tightly covered and they have a cave which they don't use at all. I think that's it so far...

Lucky!! They're not regular senegalus though, he was handing out long finned senegalus!

Look at the pectoral fins, they are much larger than normal, you have a long fin sen

I had my sister and my girl go get some free fish and I traded XCUTER two peacockbass, a hampala barb, and a baby front for one of those little LF sens

Really? lol I think I saw you trying to trade. Someone traded the delhezi to me for my veil-tailed oscar and my friend got the sen. I was looking for something discus/angel friendly to trade them for but gave up on that just cause you know... it was a MFK meet.

I'd love to keep the bichirs, but I don't know if I can realistically make the room for them. I'm trying hard, though. Worse comes to worse, I guess could trade the little guys or something.

Dude, I have congo tetras or boesemani rainbowfish I'm willing to trade for those bichirs!!

Yeah I was trying to trade away my hampala barb haha it's a cool fish, but I"m a polypterus guy.

My sister and the GF got peacock bass and a baby front, so I traded all those to XCUTER for a baby long fin senegal haha

Oh, I did look at the sen's fins again, it's long-finned for sure. Here's a close up that shows what looks like the start of feather-like extensions. These guys are boss.

Ok, give me time to think on it. This all hinges on whether or not I can make room lol. I'm not really here just to be all like "Na na na na naaa naaa." Although that would be pretty fun.
