Actually, a very slow growing turtle. Less than 1" a year from my experience.

I have one that's over a foot (I'll measure the carapace when I get home) and 5-6 years old. Bought it from a breeder for $80 at 3". I only want $50 plus shipping from MFK members. I've enjoyed him but, need the room for other projects.

Were are you located? If I remember correctly, Brookfeild Zoo is trying to have someone adopt their female ast. She is BIG, about 20' caprace. A few inches of her tail is missing but not much.
