Looking at a 224.4 gal tank

I have an opportunity to get a 5ft long x 3ft wide x 2ft tall for $1500. It is a custom made tank and is about 3 years old. Still holds water has fish in it right now. Is this a good price for this tank?

For a custom tank like that it sounds like allot but its probably fair. Is it just the tank or does it include other stuff as well.

He has two canister filters on it. He said he hasn't done a water change on it in a year. I thought that was a little funny. Tell I remembered he is the best breeder of his kind of fish. He made all of his sumps filters stand everything but the tanks he uses by hand. Sorry a little off subject!! So I'm trying to get him to let me have that stuff with it. I was thinking and hoping for somewhere in the $900 range with everything.

I've been quoted that price for a brand new custom built 72*30*24 225g.
 
I sold my 265 for $700, so I would say that is reasonable. $700-$900 with all the canister filters and etc.
 
agree with pharaoh.. but then again i bought a 5 foot 110 for 60.00 with two canisters, stand, canapy, lights, and everything needed a few years ago... so anything is possible.
 
Ok thank you may be I'll look into a new custom tank. If we can't meet on a price. But I do love the way it looks.
