Looking Back - New Members

A while back I did a thread on older members and what we new ones could do to help make the site better. I am not rekindling that thread. It's over.
But for new members I think it's important to go through the old threads if you have time. Some interesting stuff and I was very surprised to see most members seem to move on. Not many stalwarts. Not a lot of avatars we see anymore.
So if you are new maybe look at this. It's old news but it was big back in the day. Glad we kept the logo!

Also, if you are a new member it may not hurt to look at the Old Members thread.
There is lot of info on this site. May want to read a bit before you ask the question. I think this was the most "complained" about item.

PS - I look up birthdays on the members page. Sometimes just to shout out happy birthday. Almost everyday its just people who have come and gone. Usually just members for a very short time. I surmise it is because the older members don't divulge their birthdays?

I still remember that MFK vs Monster Energy fight... was a David vs Goliath battle for sure...

It's an interesting story. How students helped with the legal battle. BTW is Li Chih still at/with MFK?
 
Li Chih is neoprodigy neoprodigy aka the owner of this site. He is active and I doubt there are more than 5 things, if that, that could make him go inactive for a long period of time. He built this site from the ground up and it has seen countless hardships and has survived all of them so there's no way he would give up on the site now.

I agree. In addition the forum has various people/ fishkeepers weighing in. On You Tube it's a handful of info and sometimes bad.
But I think the main point is instead of quickly becoming a member and posting "what killed my fish?" or "what tank size do I need?" or "please ID my fish?", come on, do a little reading! I can't really recall asking that many technical questions. I just read. I post my opinions, people agree or jibe back. I start thinking again. I read. Again.

Thats basiclly what i did, but with some fish no matter how you read with the ID its hard to understand if your not familiar with it. I had a hard time doing that with some bichirs, lol
