C'mon, someone has gotta have one :naughty:.

My local craigslist sucks, mostly people selling 29 gal. setups for astronomical prices (saw one the other day for $500 , that was just the tank and stand).

Aquabid doesn't help much either, most auctions are pick up only, and halfway across the country.

So if anyone has anything, lemme know! Thanks!

Craig's list worked great for me, I got a brand new 260G + sump from a guy for a steal! Put in a search on CL for aquariums then bookmark it. Check it multiple times a day and when your aquarium finally lists, jump on it quick. Maybe expand to other areas that are a reasonable drive. Sooner or later someone will list what you're looking for, but it's really hard to be patient I know! I would put an add on CL in the Wanted section too. Someone who's on the fence might call you. I agree that finding a big tank on Aquabid or ebay is almost useless- you have to go local. Good Luck to you!!

Post a wanted ad on craigslist. I posted one saying $1 per gallon, and I got so many responses I had to just start telling people I wasn't interested. I picked up a 75gal for $75. Also go to Elmer's used tank sale. I've seen some great tanks for cheap there.

PS. I'm in pgh too and agree, the locals are trying to get WAY too much for their setups.

i got a 300 gallon and stand for 500 bux off craigs list..Search all of Nj, delaware and Pa..youll find something and GOOD LUCK
