Canon and Nikon can be affordable. I have had both of them in the past and was pleased with them. unfortunately I don't know a whole lot about cameras. I'm sure someone like Aquamojo could help advise you on cameras

If I could afford a camera like that I wouldn't have started this thread. I'm on a slim budget maybe a lil over $200

Go on amazon and look up a NIKON D3100 they are great quality DSLR and I found mine there with a basic lens and charger for $250... Best deal for the money. Check Craigslist too

Wow find me that deal!!!!! Lol that is an amazing price for that camera.

But a good camera with full hd video under 200

Canon Elph100 or 300
Has cmos censor great for low lighting.
If you can offered it jump up to the sx260 that camera will give you 16x optical zoom. Better then digital zoom.

Nikon s8200 , 9100 are both good cameras and have zoom full hd video and cmos for low lighting.

Anyone of those cameras you will be happy with.
Nooo Sony!!!

If I were you I would spend the money to get a good used camera. No use buying new, cameras last a long time these days and technology hasn't improved that much over the last few years.
