Hi All,

Posted this on the Aquatic Photography forum as well, but as more people visit this site i thought i would post it here too.

I am looking for a new camera. Would like it to take nice pictures of my tank and of my fish. Also using it for other general pictures (outdoor pictures, pics of family/friends, etc). What i am looking at is an entry level dlsr. I have also came across the sony nex 5r, and it seems to look pretty good. I do not know too much about photography, but i can put in the time to learn if i have too. Pretty much just looking for a good beginner camera that takes good pictures, especially of my fish.

Anyone know what the picture quality would be with the sony nex 5r vs an entry level dlsr camera? Any suggestions for an entry level camera that would be good for me? Looking at a price range of around $500-$750.

Thanks!

Nikon D5000..great camera... i would like to upgrade some day but it is a great camera for almost everything i need it for.

As a photographer, I HIGHLY recommend the Canon T4i as a entry level dslr!

I've looked at that one too, looks nice!

It is, I have the canon t2i with a battery grip, etc... it takes professional quality photos once you learn how to use the camera and all of the aspects within its settings.
