i have a 36 gal bowfront community tank, and it currently has a BN plec in it right now. i want to spice the tank up w/ a new pleco and return the BN. id also like one that cleans the algae, atleast a little. i already have a golden nugget in another tank, but he doesnt touch the algae on the glass so i dont wanna put him in the 36 or get another gold. i dont know alot about plecos so i only know so many species. as many comment/ opinions as possible please....

I'd say stay with the bristle nose, they are algea eating machines, and they still stay small enough for a small tank.

ya the bn does work, i just hate looking at the bristles haha. what if i put the nugget w/ the bristle? would they fight? then i can put a royal in my big tank

All female bn don't really have the bristles/ its the males that have them. A bulldog pleco would work but imo you can't beat a bn for algae control. Like I said get a larger female and you will not see the bristles.

That's true, I forgot that female bn's have very little bristles on their noses.
