I want to add a school of larger dithers to my 125 gallon all male haps/peacock tank. I've been looking for filament barbs but haven't had any luck. Are there any other fish that would work?

I've thought about multis but want something that's always out.
I've also tried giant danios, they were eaten or at least ripped apart. That's why I was looking for filament barbs they seem to have a taller body.
T-barbs could work, they also max out around 8 inches.another choice is rainbowfish, fast and always out
