I am looking for the largest, meanest, fish I can comfortably house in a 29 gallon aquarium.

I currently have a live bearer project going on and would like to feed off my culls to this fish.

Feeders will be 1-2 inches in size so the fish needs to have a large mouth and appitite.

29 gallon is unfortunately my only tank size option. I will not be able to upgrade to a larger tank for several years.

Thanks!

Yes, I was going to direct you to that but I was also going to make a personal suggestion, which is a Leopard Ctenopoma. Would be perfect for what you describe in my view.

Adding to Simcan, I've got a 3.5" Leopard Ctenopoma in my 180 and it easily takes down feeder guppies. However, they are slow growers and mine would need another inch or two before it could take down a 2" feeder.
