I have been looking for a small goldy for quite sometime now. Just wanted to know if anyone knows a lfs in Southern California that has them for sale.

I believe they are out of season.
keep this in mind, I have find that the small 3" and under L14 are very sensitative to water. Make sure your water is well maintain if you decided to get one.

IME theyre very hardy fish even when small. They grow fast and eat like pigs. If you dont keep up with the WC's then youll run into trouble considering how much waste thry produce as much or even more than the larger variety of panaque like royals.

I got mine from my local LFS. I know the owner and she made a special trip for me. But all that being said they are seasonal, and I also heard that under 3" they are difficult to keep. LUCKLY I have had mine for about nine months. He went from 3" to 6". So I'd say that I'm in the clear. They really are and awesome pleco

As was said they are on aquabidin larger sizes all the time. Just find a reputable seller aqnd your good to go. Snookin 21 is a good vendor.
