Looking for active fish for a 240.

The stocking plan for the 240 is only polypterus so far, but i want some mid-swimmers, first thing i thought was tinfoil barbs, but everybody have them.
How about 5x Leptobarbus hoevenii?
Any other ideas? I dont want silver dollars..

well are youu going for aggressive fish? big fish? if your going to get non-aggressive fish you can get bluegill, discs, sunfish, crappie, flagtail, pacu, and for the bottom i'd defintaly get loaches and botias but they will prolly get ate from your bichir. they're always fun to watch though...

Non aggressive fish i would prefer, and fish that can be in a 30" wide tank, and i would like a fish that lives in groups and get a group of five maybe, i dont like sd's or fish that look like em, aka no sd's and no red hooks..

Some nice large angels? roseline sharks (can be pricy) bala sharks... best I can think of now, if I think of anything else i will post it later...
