Tank Build: 120g 6ft long tank- 2 5" male green terrors, 1 9" tinfoil barb(outcast), 1 6.5" female trimac/flowerhorn cross, 1 4" male blood parrot, 2 4" plecos, 1 7" pleco, and 3 porker ralf cats.

Question: What are your thoughts on me adding a 8" jack dempsey to the mix? One at the LFS has been catching my eye for about 3 weeks now.

O and I forgot to mention that the BP and the Trimac have a thing for each other and have tried to get it on, but he is shooting blanks.

Like all cichlids I could work it could not its always a gamble imo , is the JD male or female ? Reason why I ask is if female your trimac fh might have summit to say about it being the only female in the tank

not sure on the sex, Have not really researched how to sex them, and its not like the girl working at the LFS has a clue.

Was thinking the opposite if its female the female tri might kick off if its the only female you got atm
You never know though like I say its always a gamble imo , with enough space and territories it could work depends on individuals I suppose
