I have a 150 gallon tank with a 9" clown knife,8"arowana,5" shovel nose catfish,3" Parrot fish,2 - 3"NTT's, 4" Pleco, 4"Striped Rapeal. I have an chance to buy a new aquaclear 300 pro series wet dry fplter for $175.00. Need advise on whether it is worth the money and will the filter handle the load and this size tank. I am running a Ehiem 2217 canister filter and a aquaclear 110 filter presently.

I believe that system is meant for a SW tank (doesn't it have a protein skimmer?).
I'd suggest just building your own wet/dry if you want to go that route. Otherwise spend the money on an FX5.

Aquaclear aquatics and Hagen AquaClear filters are two different systems.
Aquaclear Aquatics Wet/Dry filters look like every other pre-fab wet dry on the market. Though I can not personally comment on their build quality.
AquaClear Power Filters (by Hagen) are great filters. some of the best stuff on the market IME.
