Oklahoma city Oklahoma
1- orange mbuma (red zebra pseudotropheus) female
2- Yellow Labs (Labidochromis) 1male 1female
1- Snow white albino (socolof Pseudotropheus socolofi) not sure sex
1- Regal Peacock male
3- Dolphin (cyrtocara moorii) 2males 1female
2- Copadichromis borleyi kandango not sure think both males
3- Nimbochromis Venustus 2males 1female
1- Electric Blue Ahli male

I have come to the conclusion that I am leaving these fish all in the tank untill I see a problem. My wife loves the four mbuma's and as of now they are all peaceful and get along. My most agressive right now is the Venustus but they seem to play with each other. The boss of the whole tank is the Female Red zebra mbuma but she keeps to "her rock". I do not care to put any more mbuma in just haps and or peacocks males only. I called Daves rare fish today and he told me not to put females if not breeding so I am going to go with his advise. On the other hand it is to much of a hassle to get the females out I have and my wife will not allow this so I will leave well enough alone for now. I want more color so please sound off and give me some ideas on great additions of fish to this list. Thanks in advance. Chris Derrick

Tank size?

And you will likley have problems with two males vs. 1 female. (It really should be 1 male 2-4 females.)

And yes I agree an all male tank is by far the way to go if you don't want to breed. Hence you might want to sell the female haps.

How big is the tank?

I had a peaceful tank with mixed cichlids. One day the male Chipokae decided the others were a problem. He killed 2 Red Finned Borleyi, and a wonderful Lithobates. Thus the problems with mbunas and the less aggressive cichlids. He does not live here anymore. Just remind your wife as this generally happens.

One of 2 things will happen here:
1) you'll listen to the sound advice people have given you and have a good cichlid experience or
2) you'll listen to your wife and be miserable as usual.

a nice mbuna would be the metriaclima msobo "deep" magunga...the male has beautiful blueish purple with black coloring, the females are a deep golden yellow.
