Looking for Alligator gars

I been looking all over the internet and can't seem to find Alligator Gars, or Cuban Gars. I want to buy some for christmas. Anybody know where I can find them or have some for sale?

You could try contacting Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency; they have been restcoking rivers in West Tennessee with farm-raised alligator gar and may be ble to tell you the source of the fish. For that matter, the Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries may be able to help; they're the state with the healthiest population of that fish.

I would never thought about contacting those agency for Alligator gar. I may have to give that a shot.

Thanks. I wonder if it can do well with longnose Gar? I do have one in my tank... he's about 25" long. Or should I keep it in seperate tank until it get about the same size?

I wouldn't keep them together except in a pond or pond-sized tank; an ally is much more massive than a longnose the same length and I would worry about the longnose getting injured.

And ive been wondering were to get a cuban as well, but i cant find one. If u find some let me know
