looking for an id on these $4 fish

Hello everyone have not been here for a while, thought I would see if anyone here can id these 2 fish that i picked up as oddball out for $4/ fish at the local petland.

the larger of the 2 about 3.5 inches

about 2.5 inches

Both of them have a noticeable red line along the top of their dorsral fin. I have no idea what they are, I have had them for roughly 3 months or so and they seem to be real slow growers.

I have 3 snooks and they are orange. R there different kinds of snooks.

these are the ones i have well not mine but a picture like my three.

I do know they look the same in body shape the color throws me off because my other snoooks were orangish red when this size.
