The last time i had to go away for few days left feeding fish to wife .she fed them half the time ,question is thinking of investing in auto fish feeder? anyone ever have problemwith them ,and and sugestions on which is a good one to buy.thanks for the input...

If it is just a few days I just feed well before leaving and let them wait, only a few filter feeders, grazers, and pickers, like pipefish, can't handle going a few days without food.
I have never used an autofeeder after hearing a couple horror stories.

Same here, I have went for 5 days without feeding my fish and they were all fine. I had a friend that used and atomatic feeder that he was trying out for a vacation, and the thing dumped out a weeks worth of food while he was at work.

My oscars & JD go every friday night to Monday morning.

if its a holiday they go more...

I have heard both horror & praise for autofeeders.

My Autofeeder is my sister

As long as your fish are healthy, then they should be able to go at least a week w/o food and still be fine. Often they can go 2 or 3 weeks if they have to.
