So I have a 8x3x3..some severums, oscar, a true parrot, 2 Florida gar and a large 2 foot fire eel.. I'm looking to wanna get a bottom dweller that would help with shifting the bottom of the tank.
Would a small group of vulture cats work? Or I hear sometimes they can beat each other up pretty good? Looking for some catfish opinions.

Hemibagrus nemurus are cool, like little albino wyckii...
Vultures are an odd catfish imo, very active and like to smash their faces, not one of my favourite species.

Shifting the bottom of the tank????

If you mean moving the substrate then neither vultures nor hemibagrus would work, neither would do that do you would need to look at some form of girraffe, which again would work in your setup.

As interesting bottom dweller providing action, then the hemibagrus would work and unlike most others the nemurus are reasonably sane and calm. As would a bolt cat. The vultures in my opinion would end up a little large and a little boisterous.
If you want action, then three four line pims or similar would give you that.

If you want something to move the decor and give you action, then three Clarias batrachus would fit the bill too.
