I'm looking for catfish suggestions for my tanks. I currently have a granulosas and sun cat, as seen in the media lounge. Those are both in a 125g tank right now, but the granulosa will be moving to a 220g I have, once its set up.

I am looking for some more catfish that will fit into the following tanks:

220g (with the granulosa and a bunch of gar)
125g (with the sun cat and several cichlids/pike cichlids)
90g (with some pike cichlids)

The 220g will have pool filter sand (probably). The 125g currently has Tahitian black moon sand. The 90g will probably have pool filter sand as well (barebottom currently).

Any suggestions for some unique, not-too-expensive catfish that would work in those tanks with those tankmates?

Thanks!

I've thought of that, although it's hard to find them at a size that won't be a snack for the gars and pike cichlid. They're not very common around here at 5" plus.

Maybe a nice pleco instead of a cat? I was going to suggest pictus but they might be too small for your tank (though mine hide and are super fast so they've never been eaten)... and sun cats would be my other suggestion but you already answered that. :P

I happen to love my sun cat (Old Gus). He's a fatty and growing nicely but he hides a lot.

Not really into pleco's that much. Although one of my lfs' has a "cactus" pleco around 10" that is pretty awesome. Most of the pleco's cost too much for me to want to keep any.

I do like the sun cat, and if I see any decent sized ones around I'll probably scoop them up. I'm just looking for a little more variety. I had a spotted pictus and a columbian shark catfish. They both died at about 6-7" (don't know from what).

I want a catfish that is going to be active, get between 8" and 14" (maybe a little larger, if its less active), and looks pretty good.
